Success Story – Kevin & Alex

Kevin and Alex10-year-old Kevin is a very creative artist, who loves to draw robots, buildings and space craft. He can also build anything with Legos. Kevin’s 8-year-old brother, Alex, loves to read and tell stories. Alex is a great student who just made the honor roll. Both Kevin and Alex have bilateral mild to moderate hearing loss and use hearing aids. Kevin and Alex are wonderful advocates for BEGINNINGS. They helped us gain support for hearing aid legislation and attended the signing of the bill into law. They were ambassadors at our Spring Gala.

What do you like to do for fun?
K: Play on my 3DS, watch My Little Pony and other movies, build with Legos and draw
A: Read, do puzzles, play outside, build with Legos and draw

What is your favorite subject in school?
K: PE
A: Math

What things are you good at?
K: Drawing
A: Making friends and math

What do you want to be when you grow up?
K: Kevin hasn’t decided quite yet (luckily he has a little time)
A: A police officer

What is your favorite part of being an ambassador for BEGINNINGS?
K: The bucket of fun treats I got at the gala
A: Sitting on Gov. Perdue’s lap at the bill signing, being in pictures and escorting people at the Spring Gala
