You'll hear a tone. That tone played is what that decibel level sounds like.
Choose the image below the decibel that you think best describes that decibel. For instance, is 80 decibels (dB) as loud as a lawn mower or as quiet as a kitten purring?

Your answers will be checked as you go through so you'll learn to recognize sounds.

Remember, the louder a sound, the more likely it is to be uncomfortable to listen to. Sounds that are louder than 85 dB can cause permanent hearing loss when listened to for a long period of time. So listening to music while using ear buds or headphones can cause hearing loss.
