What do you like to do for fun?
Swimming, riding my bike, playing soccer, gymnastics, singing, dancing, looking at books, watching family videos and just having fun.
What do you enjoy at school?
The block center and playing pretend house at school. (Rielyn is super excited about going to big girl school with her brothers next year).
What things are you good at?
Puzzles and doing a perfect cartwheel.
How do you teach people about your hearing loss?
When someone asks Rielyn about her “ears” (cochlear implants) she tells them “I have to wear these so I can hear. I have something in my head.” If asked what happens if they fall off? “Then I can’t hear you”, she’ll reply. She has had her cochlear implants since she was 1 1/2 years old so she is used to them by now and understands that she needs them.
