Springtime symbolizes growth and opportunity and I am very excited to begin this new season in my role as the Associate Executive Director for BEGINNINGS. I began my career at BEGINNINGS in November 2003, working as a Parent Educator for over a decade and then as the Lead Parent Educator for two years. The last 5 years I have been the Director of Programs, supporting staff and the many programs we have for families and the professionals that serve them.
BEGINNINGS was founded on the premise that parents, given accurate, objective information about hearing loss, could make sound decisions for their child. Our staff is committed to providing services in a family centered atmosphere to facilitate active involvement of parents in their child’s social, emotional and educational growth. In my new role I look forward to sharing our mission and philosophy, enhancing and building our community relationships and outreach and increasing funding for our many services and programs to the families we serve to all 100 counties in North Carolina.
